Trending just kept showing pornography on my G-rated page. Just because I am a friend with someone on Facebook doesn't mean I want to see what they see in private.
Just wait until an underage child sees something like this on his/her parents' page.

Nice post. I was in two minds about setting our page live the other day but I did. Just testing few things out with it to see what might be best to put there. Also came across this great link with a load of cool ideas for the cover photo http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/creative-facebook-timeline-covers/

Great post, Lucas. Most folks don't think about what type of information they're sharing, especially during all the excitement.

I'm only guessing, but I'm imagining there are criminals taking advantage of geo information posted online. A lot of us, myself included, even have neighbors who follow us on these services; which is why I will never Check-In or add updates when I'm going out of town while my Wife is here.

Just a bad idea, even considering the plethora of various privacy options at our disposal to tweak visibility. Call me paranoid if you will, but I still don't care to risk accidentally leaking this kind of information.

Not to mention the wide range of tools out there that make it too easy... (http://app.bg for one)

Hi Lucas, thanks for this post. I learned two things: 1. The title IS most important. I don't like it, but obviously a great title makes the day. Haven't found "the truth" for a compelling title yet, it's still between the sheets for me. 2. Conversion rate - Stand and Strecht's 706 visitors in a month is great! I don't think that posting more will get you more into business. I've learned to focus on conversion of visitors.

Best wishes for 2012 for you and your team!

What would you like to know? On Facebook, brand awareness could be as important as click through rates but you need to define the goal first.
